My Dad said and I quote Stay out of Harms way and My mother also said, you are my only son and do what your daddy "Said" and Also I was on my first airplane flight/trip and then Plane landed at Lackland, AFB located in San Antonio Texas . And so, I left my four little sisters and family and some of my School mates/friends and some I haven't seen nor heard from them until I made it to one of my High school reunions John Hay Hornets High School. At that time my mother went to the Tenth grade called John Hay Bookkeepers more of a soft style school but a high school of some of the smartest children the world ever had and I could go on and on about my family who Lived on the East side or the "wild" side, and like California and Cleveland along with so many other cities. Because the riots started because of Malcolm X, Martin Luther King and John F. Kennedy.
